 Giving Mac s a fighting chance Apr 06, 2010
Everything about Vista to a tradition windows user is wrong. I am not sure what Microsoft was thinking. Perhaps they felt their traditional OS was not cute enough for users which is why Apple's sales were increasing. There solution was to sacrifice their advantage in speed and flexibility in favor of a pretty OS with lots of bells and whistles. What windows users got was a slower, annoying and overall pain in the butt to work with OS. Thank God I only switched one of my computers over to Vista and and keep my other on XP. IF you are smart you will either stay with XP or sell out and get a MAC. I hate Mac so I will stick with XP until something better then both Vista and Win 7 comes out and gives me what I want (Speed and flexibility). Dear Bill Gates I don't want a cute computer that my grandma can use. I want one that is fast as hell and never asks me if I am sure if I want to do something. That is what my virus protection is for.

Windows Vista Ultimate by Microsoft is solid operating system. It has a beautiful interface with high resolution graphics. Good stablity and is very secure. The ultimate verison features exclusive extras like DreamScene and BitLocker. Installation will take about 20-30 minutes. But then you'll need to download all the windows updates which will take many, many hours. After everything is installed, Vista Ultimate will work great for you!
It's no secret that Vista is a resource hog. This operating system requires a powerful CPU processor, top-notch video card and at least 3GB of ram memory. Even with all the hardware enhancements, Vista will experience slow downs from time to time. Applications will take extra time to load. And yes, programs will occasionally crash or freeze. But when it comes to security, Vista Ultimate shines bright. The BitLocker feature will encrypt your hard drive to safely protect your personal information and windows settings. Also, anti-virus and spyware programs eliminate online threats easily on Vista.
In conclusion, Windows Vista Ultimate delivers an excellent internet experience. Theres no question that this operating system has bugs. Within 3 years since Vista was launched, there has been over 100+ updates and 2 service packs. Microsoft continues to worked hard to improve Vista. It's a solid operating system which requires a high-end computer. For me, there's no reason switching to Windows 7. Vista Ultimate gives me everything I need!

 Lot's of problems Jan 21, 2010
I have had the misfortune to work with Vista on my laptop for 2 years. It is very bad, and I have had lot's of problems with programs crashing for no good reason other than running on a Vista PC. Further more the "blue screen of death" has teased me many times, and always when I have made something really important (murphy's law I suppose).
I have now switched to Windows 7 which seems a lot more stable.

Only for those with the brains to use it.
This item is what was advertised and what I ordered. It works as advertised and as I expected it would. It has met and/or exceeded all of my expectations. I do recommend this to anyone that may be in the market for or in need of such an item.

Vista Blows Nov 18, 2009
I was thrilled at the speediness of the seller, however this version specifically is considered an MDSN version so it doesn't qualify for windows 7 upgrade (even though on microsoft's eligibility website it doesn't have anything regarding MDSN restrictions). Eitehr way, Vista blows. I ended up buying a copy of Windows XP because it requires a fraction of the resources to run as opposed to Vista. I RECOMMEND THE SELLER, HOWEVER THE PRODUCT IS GARBAGE!!!
